ACST SECURITY TEAM

Greetings and welcome.

The goal of the ACST Security Team is to ensure that ACST remains a safe and secure environment for all members of our community- students, faculty, staff as well as visitors to our campus. We do this by maintaining 24 hours surveillance and ensuring our security guards work professionally and stay vigilant.

Security drills are an integral part of our overall security posture. At ACST we have (3) main drills: -FireSafeHavenLockdown.

Fire Drills are pretty standard in most educational institutions.  At ACST the purpose of our fire drills is to ensure that our faculty and students are able to act in a clam and orderly manner in the event of a fire.

Safe Haven Drills, also known as 'shelter drills' are geared for situations where there is an implied or impending threat in the near future, but giving us time to gather in a safe place.  We practice these drills so that if we needed to gather in a safe place, our faculty and students would know how to act in a clam and orderly manner.

Lock Down Drills are a means of practicing preparedness in the event that an unwanted person was on our campus and we deemed it unsafe for students or faculty to be outdoors.

We carry these drills with the utmost respect for our students and faculty, and we also plan these drills very carefully so as to be less distributive to our normal school operations.

We welcome any feedback and remind you to stay safe, vigilant, and prepared.

Respectfully,

David A. Santiago
