| Age Requirements |
1) Pre-kindergarten Admission:
The age requirement for admission to pre-kindergarten is four (4) years of age by September 30 of the school year for which the child is seeking enrollment. Some provision may be made for children who will turn four within a week or two of the cut-off date. Assessment, evaluation and discussion will need to take place before any decision is made. The right to retain students at the end of the year who have not made satisfactory growth (readiness for Kindergarten) rests with the administration.
2) Kindergarten Admission:
The age requirement for admission to kindergarten is five (5) years of age by September 30 of the school year for which the child is seeking enrollment. Each student applying for admission must complete a "readiness" test before a final decision on placement is reached.
3) Grade 1-5 Admission:
The age requirement for admission to grade one (1) is six (6) years of age by September 30 of the school year for which the child is seeking enrollment, and so on throughout the elementary school.
