On February 24, 2015 the official Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new building at ACST took place. Students, staff, and board members took part along with special guests Kathleen Hanson, US Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission and Dr. Bea Cameron, Office of Overseas Schools Regional Officer. The entire school along with guests from the Government of Tunisia and a variety of diplomatic missions with students at the school witnessed the event and were treated to a slideshow of the history of facilities at ACST by Director Allan Bredy. The new building was designed by Flansburgh Architects in conjunction with local architect Wassim Ben Mahmoud. It includes 16 classrooms, 2 music rooms, administrative offices, and a 400 seat theater.
