Why Choose ACST?
ACST is the premier English-speaking international school in Tunis. This has been the case for the last 60 years, and we wish to see it continue. Part of the reason why families choose ACST is our American identity and curriculum. We are sponsored by the Office of Overseas Schools, a division of the U.S. State Department; are accredited by Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (MSA); follow American curriculum standards; and hire the majority of our teachers from the U.S.
Another strength of ACST is the international make-up of our school. Currently, we have 450 students from 65 countries. We value the different languages, viewpoints, and cultures that each student contributes to our global mosaic.
Our emphasis on having well-rounded students is another contributing factor why parents choose ACST. Our students are not only focused on academics, but also physical education, music, art, service learning, and health and wellness. We have a robust after-school activities program in which most of our students participate.
We offer students in grades 11 and 12 the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), which is a widely-recognized course of study. The IB Diploma is recognized in over 100 countries around the world. Our graduates attend the top schools of their choice in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and in their home countries.
Our facilities are modern learning spaces that allow all of our programs to flourish. We are located in a suburb of Tunis. Our campus consists of five main buildings, two gymnasiums, an outdoor court, a track and grass field, a swimming pool that we share with the U.S. Embassy, and a 450-seat theater.
ACST provides a modern yet warm and hospitable community that opens its doors, hearts, and minds to families year after year. Not only do students find our school special, but their families, too, become a part of the ACST family.
At ACST, we have an open admissions policy. This means we accept students who we can serve and we help them grow to their full potential. While other schools might use their admissions process to select only the best talent, we take pride in the fact that our educational program seeks to develop talent.
