    What is a Student-led Conference?
A student-led conference is a time when each child celebrates their learning with their parents and/or caregiver.  Using examples of their learning, the children will explain their own progress in each learning area and what their next learning step will be.  Each conference usually lasts for 40-45 minutes and is held in the classroom.  The teacher is in the room during this time and they are there to support the children and to let them take the lead.
What is the purpose of this type of conference?
Student-led conferences have two main goals.  Firstly they are a way for you to be informed about your child's progress at school.  Secondly, and probably more importantly, they provide each child with an opportunity to reflect on their own learning.
