At ACST, every parent and teacher is automatically a member of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and can attend its meetings. The PTO makes its decisions democratically, and it encourages active participation by all members.
As an organization, the PTO's purpose is to:
- Build a welcoming, inclusive school community that builds bridges between cultures;
- Support the school’s goals through volunteer service, fundraising, and enhanced educational opportunities for students; and,
- Facilitate and enhance communication between parents, teachers, and the school.
The PTO encourages every parent and teacher to participate as a PTO volunteer to help with activities and be a part of the school community.
